Here we talk about the protagonist in one of our best sports drama Chak De India.
Kabir Khan was a Muslim Hockey Player. It all just started and ended at him being muslim. After losing the World Cup to Pakistan (The biggest rival of India) with Kabir being he Indian captain on the penalty,he was labelled as a Muslim gaddar. Nobody for even once thought that the team has reached this far with his captaincy only. No one was bothered to ask him how he was feeling after he just missed out on his biggest achievement of life-The World Cup.
Just because he had the surname KHAN, he was the traitor. The moment when he has to leave his home where his memories lied sacred, the moment where he faces the angry eyes of his own people for something he hasn’t even done are all so much full of sorrow.
My heart breaks when Kabir sees that a mere child has hatred for him and writes gaddar outside his wall.

Kabir’s love for the country, his love for the game, and his passion for getting himself cleared by that awful label made him do the out of box thing, his rage for wanting the women’s team win got him back everything he wished for. They lifted the label, and he was a nationalist again. But will anyone be able to pay him for the hate they held upon him?
Kabir khan’s story takes us on a ride with an event of anti-muslim communalism becoming a potential starting point for communal integration.
